Edwina Kim Wong Wins $250 Spree At Tamura’s
Edwina Kim Wong needed luau leaves to make lau lau for her Christmas luau, so Thursday she took a trip to Tamura’s in Wahiawa. As she made her purchase at 10:45 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Edwina with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Tamura’s shopping spree.
“I like shopping at Tamura’s because the cashiers know how to take care of me,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired pre-school director. “They are always friendly and accommodating.”
Edwina was born and raised in Wahiawa, and is a 1958 graduate of Leilehua High School. In her free time, she enjoys making baskets from royal palm trees, and cooking (she makes a really good kim chee and Korean barbecue sauce). She also likes to read MidWeek.
“I like the market inserts in the middle,” she said. “Also, the Poll question, and Ron Nagasawa’s column. He makes me laugh.”
