DOE’s Free Summer Meals For Students
Beginning this week, dozens of public schools across the island will serve free meals to children in the Seamless Summer Program supported by U.S. Department of Agriculture.
In East Oahu, the program is in place for lunch only at Kaimuki High School June 8-July 13 and Anuenue School in Palolo June 10-July 9.
Students do not need to be enrolled in the school to attend the meal program. However, it is funded to make sure children (age 18 and younger) continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session.
