Dance-theatre Staging Heads To Leeward CC
Nonprofit dance ensemble Prince Dance Company makes its way to Leeward Theatre’s main stage at the college Oct. 4 for a night filled with dance, monologues, video projection and trapeze acts.
The show, titled “Que Sueñes Con Las Angelitas,” starts at 8 p.m., when guests can follow the life of a singer in an enchanting program of multimedia dance-theatre.
“Equal parts dance and theater, this original piece follows the journey of my character’s life through monologue, trapeze, tango, contemporary dance, and song,” stated co-creator Beth Dunnington.
According to Angel Prince, the show’s co-creator, this is a dance performance for people who don’t think they like dance.
Also on the agenda is a free workshop in Waipahu Oct. 3 from 3 to 4 p.m. hosted by Pas De Deux Studios, located at 94-404 Ukee St., Suite A.
Those interested in attending the free master class may call Leeward Theatre at 455-0380.
General admission tickets cost $25, while seniors, military, UH system students, faculty and staff pay $20. Leeward CC students and keiki under 18 pay $15.
