CVS Minute Clinics In East Oahu
Walk-in clinics recently opened at Longs Drugs stores in Kaimuki and Hawaii Kai to diagnose and treat patients as well as write prescriptions for common family illnesses.
The CVS MinuteClinics provide nurse practitioners who can handle minor wounds, common vaccinations and wellness services, as well as give advice on lifestyle changes and perform physical exams for camp, sports and college. Diagnostic records can be sent to patients’ primary-care doctors.
Fees for treatment start at about $75, according to CVS Caremark Corp., which runs the clinics “to make access to high-quality medical treatment easier for more Americans.” CVS also runs Hawaii’s Longs Drugs stores.
Hours are 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Saturdays, and 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Sundays.
The company also recently opened MinuteClinics at Longs Drugs in Kaneohe, Kailua, Aiea, Kapolei and Honolulu.
