Cutter Brothers Give Back To Waipahu Community Schools

Four Waipahu-based elementary schools got a little bit cooler following the spring break holiday March 16-20, thanks to a generous donation by the Cutter brothers. In total, 12 classrooms among August Ahrens, Honowai, Kaleiopuu and Waipahu elementary schools benefited from the project.

“In the past, we made a lot of monetary donations,” explained co-owner Jarrett Cutter, who owns Cutter Automotive Galleries with brother Marc. “But as a business owner, you like something tangible.”

Cutter partnered with Drew Santos of Fujitsu Hawaii, who also donated AC units and exhaust fans, as well as Sherman Louis of Air Masters Inc. and Keith Morrill of KM Electric.

“These guys didn’t do it for the money, they did it because it was a nice thing to do,” Cutter explained.

The effort focused on the Waipahu area, which has supported Cutter Automotive Galleries for years.

“It’s certainly going to help out the kids, not just this year but for the next 20 or 30 years,” he said. “That was kind of our goal, whether it was AC units or a playground, we wanted to see something that would affect the community for years and years to come.”
