‘Cool’ Block Party Time Saturday In Kailua Town
Combining a street festival and health awareness fair in the Whole Foods Market parking lot in Kailua Town Center, Cool Kailua Nights is something the whole family can enjoy from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
Windward’s own Kapena will entertain at the fourth annual block party; also planned are fashion shows (human and canine), keiki rides, wine and beer sampling, food, games, a dunking tank and prizes. Lemonade Alley entrepreneurs will ply the crowds with their lemonade drinks throughout the evening.
Windward Artist Guild will have freshly created plein-air paintings on view and for sale, and more than 35 local shops and restaurants also will participate.
Proceeds go to Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Windward Clubhouse, as well as Castle Medical Center’s Oncology Clinic in honor of event founder Danielle Scherman’s mother, who is a breast cancer survivor.
