Owner of Pacific Dental & Implant Solutions

After attending Harvard Dental School and completing my residency in prosthodontics at University of Illinois at Chicago, I had the opportunity to move home in 2009 and open Pacific Dental & Implant Solutions.

A prosthodontist is one of nine specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA). All other self-declared specialties (e.g., cosmetic dentist, dental implant specialist, etc.) are not recognized by the ADA and do not require any additional training.

As a prosthodontist, I specialize in the diagnosis, treatment-planning and restoration of all dental conditions, from single crowns and bridges to dental implants and full-mouth reconstruction.

The focus of our specialty is to make sure that we’re treatment-planning the patient – not just the tooth – and giving patients their options comprehensively for long-term treatment planning.

A great first step for patients looking for a dentist is to do research online.

The next step would be to contact an office you feel is properly trained to do the work you need. Ask for a free consultation and a 3DCT scan. You should not have to pay to know your dental options.

During the consultation, ask lots of questions. We often recommend that a spouse or a friend come along to listen and ask questions.

You should leave the office with a clear sense of your dental situation and treatment options. The office should provide you with estimates on cost and a timeline to complete each of the different options discussed.

After gathering information, review the different treatment plans and estimates, your finances and your overall impression about which office you feel most comfortable and confident in providing the highest level of care. With these tools, you should be able to make a good decision about your dental care.

At Pacific Dental & Implant Solutions, we offer a free consultation and 3D-CT scan. To learn more about your dental options, visit our website at pdishawaii.com or call us at 737-6150.
