Citizens Fight Crime At Kahuku Park ‘Walk’

Windward residents can take a stand against crime this weekend by attending the Community Combined Walk at Kahuku District Park.

The District 4 event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, sponsored by Honolulu Police Department’s community policing team.

Together with Windward Neighborhood Security Watch, Citizens’ Patrol and other partners, HPD intends to show off the solidarity of area communities in the fight against crime and to boost resident involvement. HPD’s own Keiki ID program and other organizations will have exhibits at the park.

Bus transportation will be provided from Waimanalo, Kailua, Kaneohe and Hau’ula to the site, where organizers are expecting up to 450 people to attend.
