Choral Society’s Joyous Gala

Windward Choral Society wants everyone to experience the Joy of Music … International Style — with a discounted rate of $100 for those who purchase their tickets for the event by Oct. 15.

The biannual evening gala, to be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at Koolau Ballrooms in Kaneohe, will celebrate John Starr Alexander, this year’s recipient of the McCreary Na Ke Akua Aloha Mele Award, which honors those who inspire the community with music.

Other banquet staples are planned, including live entertainment, a silent auction, food, cash bar and a special performance by the choral group itself.

Tickets will cost $125 after Oct. 15, and final reservation deadline is Nov. 15. To purchase tickets, call Marguerite at 782-3924 or go online to thewindwardchoralsociety.org.

Proceeds from the event will support the nonprofit WCS, and a portion of each ticket is tax deductible.
