Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii

Kenneth Silva, retired Honolulu Fire Department chief, has been named COO of Hawaii State Chapter of the American Red Cross. Silva served as fire chief for the last seven years and has more than 30 years of leadership, supervisory, administrative and command experience with the fire department.

Vey Okutsu

Vey Okutsu has been named Central Pacific Bank’s Hawaii Kai branch manager. She will lead and inspire her team to consistently meet and exceed specific financial needs of CPB’s customers, including consumer and local businesses. Okutsu brings 30 years of banking experience and has served as personal banking officer, business banking officer and branch manager.

Tammy McGrew has been promoted to branch manager for the New Agent Training Office West, based out of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ Kapolei office. In her newly created position, McGrew will serve as instructor of NATO classes and provide newly licensed agents with the skills and tools for a successful career in real estate. Previously, she was assistant branch manager of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ King Street office.

Dr. Kelly Kawaoka has joined Kaiser Permanente as an internal medicine specialist. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Pediatrics, and will practice out of Kaiser’s Waipio clinic. Kawaoka most recently served as attending physician in the outpatient clinics and newborn nursery at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California.

Dr. Karen Yamaguchi has joined Kaiser Permanente as a specialist in podiatry. She is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and will practice out of Kaiser’s Moanalua Medical Center. Most recently, Yamaguchi worked in private practice in Texas.
