Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Caroline Hayashi has been hired as executive director of Waikiki Community Center. She most recently served as chief operating officer of Girl Scouts of Hawaii, where she increased memberships an average of 7.5 percent a year, and helped establish and enhance programs, fund development and economic development. She has dedicated her career to serving nonprofit and community-centered organizations in operations and service programs, fund development and economy development.
Steven Hurlbut has been appointed director of health care technology services at Business Solution Technologies, a leading provider of human resources, education and health care solutions in Hawaii. He will be responsible for providing strategic consultation and implementing health care technology services for BST clients, including developing various health care analytics. Hurlbut has worked in the health care sector for more than 20 years, and previously was chief information officer for ISI Health Enhancement Services, a subsidiary of HMSA.
Eric Reedhas been named executive director of sales operations for Verizon Wireless in Hawaii. His new role requires him to oversee the multichannel operations in retail and business-to-business operations, as well as marketing and sales operations. Reed has been in the wireless industry for 12 years, most recently serving as director of business sales for the Southern California region. In 2004 and 2011, Reed earned the President’s Cabinet award, Verizon Wireless’s highest honor for sales and customer service.
Jose Bustamante has been promoted to vice president of Hunt Companies Hawaii region development division, an industry-leading real estate company. In his position, Bustamante will be the lead for the Kalaeloa master development project and will direct the real estate development, master-planning and asset-management initiative of Hunt’s 540-acre property in Kalaeloa. Prior to joining Hunt Companies, Bustamante was a commercial real estate investment and leasing broker for CBRE in San Francisco.
