Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Corey Fukaya has been promoted by Hawaii National Bank to loan officer in the bank’s mortgage department. Fukaya began his career with the bank in 2006 as an intern in the Loan Services Department while attending the University of Hawaii. He has since completed the bank’s management trainee program and served as a loan assistant in the Corporate Banking Department. In his current position, Fukaya will continue to service and grow the bank’s commercial mortgage portfolio.
Tracy Walker has been named general manager of Hilton Worldwide’s Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. Walker is a 24-year industry veteran and has been affiliated with Hilton Worldwide since 2002, most recently serving as general manager of the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek location. She served previously as general manager for Hilton Newark Airport, and has also worked for the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach and Hilton Chicago.
Kim Oshiro has been hired as senior catering sales manager at Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel. Oshiro began her career within the hospitality industry with the original Prince Kuhio Hotel before it was renamed Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel. She will focus her abilities on catering functions for markets such as corporate, government, meetings, weddings and association clients.
C. Haunani Maunu-Hendrix has been promoted by Pacific Islands Institute – an enrichment travel organization – to general manager. Maunu-Hendrix is responsible for daily operations and overall management of the 23-year-old travel company. She will continue to direct sales, develop new markets, identify groups and expand the existing client base. Maunu-Hendrix has more than 35 years of hotel sales and destination management experience.
