Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Daryll Hersche has been appointed general manager of Atlantis Navatek Cruises. Hersche will direct the company’s daily sunset dinner cruises and seasonal whale watch cruises along Oahu’s south shore. Hersche brings more than 15 years of domestic and international management experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on food and beverage service, to his new role at Atlantis. He most recently served as general manager for Centerplate, where he was responsible for all food and beverage services at Neal Blaisdell Center and at the Kona and Hilo international airports.
Katie Ka’anapu will join Ward Centers as senior marketing manager. Ka’anapu will be responsible for strategic planning and execution, leasing assistance, revenue generation, retailer relations and sales production as well as results measurement. Previously, Ka’anapu worked at Ala Moana Center for General Growth Properties, spending five years in its marketing division and most recently in its Strategic Partnerships division.
Duke T. Oishi has become a partner at Yamamoto & Settle law firm. Oishi, who joined the firm in 2009, concentrates his practice in the areas of energy, public utilities, business and commercial transactions, construction, real estate and intellectual property law. He most recently served as an associate attorney for the firm.
Sara Matsuura has been appointed director of sales and marketing for Waikiki Ocean Club, a 10,000-square-foot offshore playground for visitors and kamaaina who love the water. Matsuura worked most recently for five years for Polynesian Adventure Tours as sales, marketing and promotions manager. Her primary responsibilities for Waikiki Ocean Club will be developing and maintaining new client accounts, particularly in the wholesale sector, as well as managing industry partnerships.
