Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Julie Arigo has been promoted to general manager of Waikiki Parc Hotel. Arigo’s tenure at Waikiki Parc includes 18 years of service, most recently as hotel manager. Her expansive managerial experience in the industry, working for Sheraton and Westin hotels, and more specifically at the Waikiki Parc, has fully prepared Arigo for her new role. Arigo is the current vice chairwoman of Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association and presides over the board of Soroptimist International as its president, as well as serving on the board of the Organization of Women Leaders.
Ben Nishimoto has been named director of business support by PBS Hawaii. In this role, Nishimoto will secure broadcasting programming and broadband content sponsorships from local businesses that share PBS Hawaii’s commitment to add value to our community. Nishimoto comes to PBS Hawaii from the Hawaiian Humane Society, where he was manager of annual giving. It’s a homecoming for Nishimoto, who worked at PBS Hawaii four years ago as its first full-time grant writer.
Dr. Radford Goto recently has joined Hawaii Family Dental Centers as the new pedodontist, serving children at their Mililani and Hilo locations. He is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he received degrees in both general and pediatric dentistry. Prior to joining the Hawaii Family Dental Centers, he practiced in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York.
Keane Muranaka has been appointed the newest senior claims consultant for Atlas Insurance Agency Inc. Muranaka will be responsible for overseeing the company’s general liability, property and auto claims management services. Muranaka also will serve as the company’s errors and omissions officer. Prior to joining Atlas, he was assistant vice president, claims supervisor-field unit for Island Insurance Company.
