Debbie Hernandez has been appointed human resources manager with City Mill Company, Ltd. She will oversee all aspects of the human resources department and be responsible for organizational analysis and planning, recruitment, employee relations, training, and policy and benefits for approximately 450 employees, including sister company Simply Organized, a storage and organization retail chain. Hernandez recently retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service. As First Sergeant for the last eight years, she specialized in employee relations, conflict resolution, employee development and explanation of policies and benefits for multiple organizations.
Gary Matsumoto has been appointed executive chef at Hawaii Convention Center. As executive chef, Gary is responsible for the training and management of Hawaii Convention Center’s esteemed culinary team. He oversees all food and beverage operations at the center, ensuring guests taste flavors and dishes that showcase the bounty of fresh ingredients the Hawaiian Islands offer. He was previously banquet manager and joined the center in 2010.
Cheri Grant has been appointed loan officer with Honolulu HomeLoans. In her role, Grant will specialize in residential mortgage loan origination. She has more than 14 years of mortgage industry experience and has overseen business development, marketing and sales of loan products.
Mike Moss has been named senior financial consultant at Island Wealth Management. He will offer specialized services for clients with investment assets of at least $250,000. Prior to joining Island Wealth Management, Moss served for 10 years as the Hawaii branch manager for VALIC Financial Advisors, where he provided retirement planning counsel, as well as recruited and led his team of financial advisers.
