Christine Gonzalez has been appointed director of catering and event services with Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. With 25 years of management experience in the hospitality industry spanning sales and marketing, catering, banquets, meetings and convention services, Gonzalez most-recently served as director of convention services and catering at the Rosen Centre Hotel, an award-winning convention property in Orlando.
Aimee Nelson has been hired as marketing assistant with Servco Pacific Inc.’s marketing department. She now will assist in the development and execution of various marketing initiatives, including automotive sales events, community outreach programs and promotions. She previously worked at MINI of Hawaii as a marketing assistant.
Lauren Tanimoto has been hired as marketing assistant with Servco Pacific Inc.’s marketing department. She will help develope and execute various marketing initiatives, including automotive sales events, community outreach programs and promotions. She previously worked as a director’s assistant at Santa Clara University.
Sanford Saito has been appointed deputy commissioner and captive insurance administrator for the State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (DCCA) Insurance Division. He previously held the position in an acting capacity. Saito is a certified financial examiner and has been with the Insurance Division since 2004 as a captive insurance examiner. He previously worked in the department’s Division of Consumer Advocacy as a public utilities auditor.
Gary Oshiro has been hired as sales representative with Hawaiian Host, Inc. He now will be responsible for selling Hawaiian Host products to new and established accounts and maintaining good customer relations, and also will provide departmental support including coordinating sales, promotions and incentive programs. He has more than 20 years of experience in sales and management.
