Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 7/23/14
Chanda Keawe has been appointed marketing manager for Longs Drugs Hawaii. She now is responsible for product promotional strategy, vendor management and new product integration for the 54 Hawaii Longs Drugs locations.
Gerry Caliva has been promoted to district manager for Longs Drugs Hawaii. He now is responsible for managing all Maui locations as well as 12 Oahu stores. Caliva has been with Longs Drugs Hawaii since 1985.
Maile Kawamura has been hired as executive director of Arthritis Foundation — Hawaii Branch. She now will provide leadership and be responsible for the planning, implementing, managing and evaluating of events and programs that bring together corporate partners, medical and community leaders, and volunteers from the community to raise funds for, and awareness of, the 120 different forms of arthritis and related diseases that affect over 236,000 individuals in Hawaii.
Todd Matsushita has been promoted to principal with Accuity LLP. He previously worked as a senior manager for the company, joining Accuity and its predecessor PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1999. Matsushita has worked in the accounting industry for 15 years, and is an active member of the Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association
Carol Hughes has been promoted to director of perioperative services with The Queen’s Medical Center. Her responsibilities now include the Main Operating Room, Same Day Surgery — Operating Room (SDS OR), Same Day Surgery — Pre & Post Op, Surgery Admission and Discharge Unit, Anesthesia Preoperative Evaluation Center (APEC), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Anesthesia, Urology, Surgical APRN Program, Endoscopy, and the Endoscopy Admission and Discharge Unit.
