Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 7/2/14
Randy Cain has joined Chamber of Commerce Hawaii’s membership sales team as an account executive. Cain most recently served as founder and president of USA ac, an athletic program for children and teens. He previously worked at Thyssenkrupp Elevator as an account representative, and as a mortgage loan officer with Fouts Financial Inc.
Christy Ammerman has joined Graham Builders as architectural designer. She will oversee the company’s designing/planning of new homes and renovation projects, and production of construction documents. Ammerman has more than six years of architectural design experience. She previously served as advertising and marketing director at Holy City Hospitality in Charleston, S.C.
Michael Smith has been appointed vice president and information security manager with Central Pacific Bank. He is responsible for overseeing the Information Security department and protection of its assets. Smith has 18 years of experience implementing and overseeing technology programs and providing innovative IT security solutions for community banks and telecom providers.
Glenn Yamashita has been hired as vice president of finance with Honolulu Cookie Company. His responsibilities include overseeing all financial management, planning, budgeting and information technology for the company. Yamashita has more than 25 years’ experience in the hospitality, technology, telecommunications, real estate and banking industries.
TJ Wong has been hired as property manager with Honolulu Property Management (HPM). He will specialize in the management of residential properties on Oahu’s Windward and metro Honolulu regions, and oversee marketing, leasing, maintenance, tenants and the business of property rental. He has been a licensed Realtor-Associate in Hawaii since November 1995.
Scott Prange has joined Goodsill Anderson Quinn & Stifel LLP as an associate. A recent graduate of University of Hawaii at Manoa William S. Richardson School of Law with a Juris Doctor, and Shidler College of Business with a Master of Business Administration, Prange centers his practice in labor and employment law. Prior to joining the firm, he was a research assistant for professors Danielle Conway and Ron Brown at William S. Richardson School of Law.
Lisa Dunn has been promoted to executive vice president with The Children’s Alliance of Hawaii, and also will retain her position as director of programs. She is responsible for program development, planning, oversight, evaluation and staff supervision. She currently serves on the Hawaii Commission for National and Community Service, and in the past taught Crime Victims and the Criminal Justice System for 18 years at Hawaii Pacific University.
Michelle Chung has been appointed account executive with Xerox Hawaii. She will be responsible for providing new and existing commercial accounts with solutions and services to effectively manage their document workflow, allowing customers to focus on their core business. Prior to joining Xerox Hawaii, Chung was an energy consultant with Sunetric.
Daniel Gick has been appointed account executive in Atlas Insurance Agency Inc.’s construction services division. He will be responsible for servicing Atlas Construction Services clients as well as generating new opportunities for its construction services division. Prior to joining Atlas, he was vice president of corporate strategy & operational excellence for Aon Risk Solutions, and also was account executive and program manager in its construction services group.
Malia Emerson Schreck has been named shareholder and director of Lyons, Brandt, Cook & Hiramatsu, AAL, ALC. She first joined the firm as a law clerk in 2004 and became an associate attorney in 2005. She will continue her practice in civil litigation with a concentration on employment, medical and insurance defense matters.
Derek Akiyoshi has been appointed regional chief executive officer for the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, Oahu region (Leahi Hospital and Maluhia nursing homes). He has served as interim CEO since December 2013. He previously served as administrator at Maluhia, and is vice chairman of Healthcare Association of Hawaii (HAH) long term care division.
