Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 4/23/14
Stanford Carr, president of Stanford Carr Development, has been named “Salesperson of the Year” for 2013 by the Sales and Marketing Executives International (SMEI), Honolulu chapter. Carr set new standards for master-planned communities, resort-style living, and affordable housing in Hawaii. He currently is a trustee of the University of Hawaii Foundation, 2013 chairman for the March of Dimes Hawaii, and Corporate Team chair for March for Babies.
Nichole Shimamoto has been appointed to senior vice president and director of compliance with Central Pacific Bank. She now is responsible for managing CPB’s entire compliance management program. She also is responsible for managing the compliance team, and overseeing and ensuring adequate compliance staffing and resources to support the bank’s compliance needs.
Carol Davis has been appointed senior vice president in Atlas Insurance Agency Inc.’s Client Consulting Group. She will continue to lead the marketing and servicing of the company’s nonprofit and health care clientele. Davis has more than 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and is a member of the Hawaii Long-Term Care Association.
Keka Sanborn has been hired as chief health care officer at ProService Hawaii. Sanborn and his department will work with ProService payer partners Kaiser and HMSA for the direct benefit of ProService’s 1,100-plus employer clients and their 17,000-plus employees. He most recently was a health care consultant for Essence Group/Lumeris.
Glen Takahashi has been promoted to American Carpet One’s production department as installation manager. He now is directly responsible for all flooring installation personnel and estimators – from overseeing staffing and training of personnel to maintenance and accountability of installation equipment and inventory. He previously was assistant installation manager and currently is a member of the International Certified Flooring Installers Association.
