Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 4/22/15
Darian DeSellem has been promoted to vice president and team leader, Risk Analysis Division, with First Hawaiian Bank. He will lead and oversee a team of analysts to manage system-, process- and data-improvement projects to ensure that the bank meets regulatory reporting requirements.
Jodie Duvall has been promoted to vice president, senior wealth adviser and team leader, Wealth Advisory Division, with First Hawaiian Bank. Duvall, who has more than 16 years of financial-planning experience, is responsible for providing investment management for the bank’s current and prospective clients. She will work with a team of wealth advisory specialists to create comprehensive financial plans to assist clients in reaching their financial goals. She also is leader of the Private Wealth Management team and current chairwoman of Financial Planners Association of Hawaii.
Margot Sakazaki has been promoted to director of project management with Y. Hata and Co. Ltd. Sakazaki joined Y. Hata in January 2013 to assist with the expansion of its new division, ChefZone. She received her Bachelor of Arts in international relations from Johns Hopkins University.
Michael Fenley has been named general manager of the new International Market Place, currently under construction. He will be responsible for operations, retailer and community relations, and marketing for the center. He brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position.
Alan Saka has been hired as senior vice president and chief information officer with UHA Health Insurance. As CIO, he will be instrumental in driving UHA’s pursuit of innovative technical solutions to meet the needs and priorities of the business and its customers. As security officer, he is responsible for maintaining security of UHA’s essential business processes and information, and also oversees other departments.
