Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 2/18/15
Tomoko Yagi has been appointed director of rooms at Halekulani. She will serve as an integral member of the executive committee and will oversee hotel operations, which include the front office, housekeeping, concierge and pool staff. She most recently worked at Shangri-La Hotel Tokyo, where she started as executive housekeeper and was later promoted to director of rooms.
Jon Moyer has been promoted to director, asset management-Kailua, with A&B Properties Inc., the real estate subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin Inc. He will continue responsibility for the asset and property management of ABP’s improved and ground-leased real estate portfolio in Kailua. He first joined A&B Properties in March 2013 as project manager, acquisitions.
John Hawley has been hired as director of sales with Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. He brings to the resort more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and most recently served as director of sales and marketing at Hilton Baltimore.
Jennifer Duncan has been hired as transaction manager with Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties’ Kahala office. She is responsible for providing transaction-coordination services from inception of listing/escrow until closing. She has 15 years of administrative and customer-service experience and most recently served as an escrow assistant for California Investors Escrow.
Kenji Stevens has been appointed executive director of Ballet Hawaii. He previously served in various roles for Honolulu and Hawaii symphony orchestras over the last 20 years, most recently as general manager of one of the state’s oldest nonprofit organizations. Stevens brings to the job a wealth of knowledge in programming, marketing, contract negotiations and the presentation of arts in the Honolulu community.
