Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 2/11/15
Jarrett Walters has been promoted to senior vice president of operations and business development with Hawaiian Building Maintenance. He will continue to oversee the company’s operations functions and now is responsible for business development as the firm aims to continue responsible growth in the marketplace. He first joined the company in 2006 as director of retail operations.
John Ball has been hired as mortgage loan origination manager with Hawaii State Federal Credit Union. He is responsible for leading the credit union’s team of mortgage loan originators who support members and eligible non-members for purchase and refinance of residential family properties.
Karen Wataru-Nakaoka has been promoted to executive director of Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association. She will assist HLTA’s president and CEO with the organization’s overall strategic and operational responsibilities for staff, programs, and business development.
Kim Wong Yoshimoto has rejoined Imanaka Asato as senior adviser in its governmental affairs practice. She previously served as director of external affairs in the U.S. Senate, and also was chief of staff for then-Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz. She received her Juris Doctor from William S. Richardson School of Law at University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a bachelor of science in psychology from Tufts University.
Jordan Takahashi has been hired as an engineer with Kiewit Building Group Inc. He will join Kiewit’s job site management team, and will help to refine Kiewit construction management systems and technologies to better serve the needs of clients and the local community. He is responsible for the technical aspects of constructing a project, including surveying, layout and submittal processing.
