Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 1/8/14
Chris Dods has been promoted to senior vice president and marketing communications division manager with First Hawaiian Bank. He joined First Hawaiian Bank in 2007 as an assistant vice president, business development new markets and technology. He was promoted to vice president, Card Services Division in 2009 and senior vice president and division manager in 2011, where he was responsible for directing the marketing and operations of the bank’s credit and debit card programs. Prior to joining the bank, he was a business development manager with Mid Pac Petroleum.
David Helweg has been hired as the first permanent director of U.S. Department of the Interior’s Pacific Islands Climate Science Center. The center is one of eight regional DOI Climate Science Centers established and managed by the U.S. Geological Survey to provide federal, state and local land managers access to the best science available on climate change and other landscape-scale stressors of the nation’s natural and cultural resources. He previously was deputy director of USGS Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center for more than 10 years.
Leanne Hunstock has been appointed chief operating officer, care delivery, and vice president with Kaiser Permanente Hawaii. She now will lead patient-care operations, focusing on the quality and patient-centered approach. She brings more than 35 years of experience in health care and most recently served as senior vice president, business development at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Vicki Nakata has been promoted to vice president-loyalty and travel products with Hawaiian Airlines. She now oversees all elements of the HawaiianMiles program and the growing lineup of other Hawaiian Airlines travel-related products, such as vacation packages and premium seat offerings. Since 2011, Nakata was managing director, partnerships and ancillary revenue.
