Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 12/31/14
Trong Son has been promoted to vice president and home loan manager at Central Pacific HomeLoans. He is responsible for managing client relationships and generating new mortgage loans. His duties also include managing and overseeing a team of home loan consultants. He has been with Central Pacific Bank since 2011.
Nick Sutton has been appointed manager of Central Pacific Bank’s Hawaii Kai branch. He is responsible for leading, coaching and inspiring his team to consistently meet and exceed the specific financial needs of CPB’s customers, including consumer and local businesses. He previously was branch manager at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.
Alysha Komenaka has been promoted to marketing coordinator with Hawaiian Host. She will organize and coordinate Hawaiian Host’s marketing efforts to ensure an overall cohesive approach from a marketing perspective. She also will take on the role of design manager for product- development projects, conduct market research for new products, and assist in the execution of marketing goals, plans and strategies.
Hector Garcia has been hired as an estimator with Graham Builders. He is responsible for managing the development of building cost estimates and bids on new-home construction and renovation projects.
Sommerset K. M. Wong has been hired as an associate with Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert in its Dispute Resolution Practice Group. She is a graduate of William S. Richardson of Law, where she was executive editor of University of Hawaii Law Review, a criminal justice teaching assistant and law school visitor coordinator. She previously was a volunteer intern with the FBI, a summer extern with Chief Judge Susan Oki Mollway of the U.S. District Court and a research intern with Hawaii State Bar Association.
Jimmy Liu has been hired as a loan officer at HomeStreet Bank’s Honolulu Home Loan Center. He now will offer a full range of home mortgage products, and also will provide loan assistance in other states in addition to Hawaii. He brings nearly 15 years of lending experience to assist clients.
