Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 12/17/14
Roy Murai has been named director of investments with The Queen’s Health Systems. He now will complement QHS’ Endowment team and will provide essential leadership in managing QHS’ diversified financial asset and pension portfolios. QHS Endowment is focused on building long-term value and enhancing income generation to support The Queen’s Health Systems’ mission and health care initiatives.
Paula Ogimi has been promoted from credit underwriter in First Hawaiian Bank’s Residential Department to Kahuku branch manager. She now is responsible for business development in deposits and loans, and manages the branch’s operating budget.
Emi Kanai has been appointed vice president and management reporting manager with Central Pacific Bank. She is responsible for designing and implementing an internal performance measurement system and developing and maintaining effective line-of-business systems. Her duties also include leading the company’s annual budgeting process.
Shirley S. Lou-Magnuson has been hired as an associate with Carlsmith Ball, and is a member of the firm’s Real Property Practice Group. Her practice also includes corporate, business, banking and regulatory law. She previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Katherine G. Leonard at Hawaii Intermediate Court of Appeals, as well as judicial extern to the Honorable Simeon R. Acoba of Hawaii Supreme Court and the Honorable Richard R. Clifton of U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Gary Teixeira has been hired as finish carpenter with Graham Builders. He is responsible for completing the interior finish of new projects, renovations and warranty work. Once drywall is done, he focuses on cabinet and door installation, door cabinets, molding and appliance set up. He has 15 years of experience in the business.
