Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii – 12/11/13

David Mark has been hired as senior manager of e-commerce and loyalty with Island Air. Mark’s responsibilities include managing the content and functionality of the company’s websites, developing strategies to increase Web traffic and sales, and growing the company’s social media presence. Prior to joining Island Air, he was digital marketing manager at American Savings Bank.

Elena Kambitsi, Ph.D., has been named senior vice president of HMSA’s consumer strategy division. Kambitsi most recently served as vice president of consumer markets, product development and marketing at Blue Cross of Northeastern Pennsylvania. She was a key executive in the health plan’s transformation to a more consumer-focused organization.

Jeff Kendrick has been named assistant vice president at HMSA. He will be in charge of the information systems program management office. Kendrick joins HMSA with years of senior management experience in technology and business. Kendrick moved to Hawaii from Seattle, where he was chief information officer for the Americas Region of VIX Technology, a multinational transit technology provider.

Ester Do has been named lab manager at The Queen’s Medical Center West Oahu. She was previously the medical technologist supervisor of DLS technical satellites on Oahu, and its coordinator of Decentralized Laboratory, Perioperative and Tissue Bank, and Customer Support Services at The Queen’s Medical Center laboratory. at Punchbowl.

Michael L. Iosua has joined Imanaka Asato as an associate in the civil litigation and governmental affairs department. He most recently was an assistant attorney general for the government of American Samoa. Previously, Iosua held an associate position at Snell & Wilmer, LLP where he practiced commercial litigation with an emphasis on banking and financial services.

Nathan Okubo has been named partner at Cades Schutte. He practices in the areas of real estate, banking and finance, hospitality and resort property, public utilities and telecommunications, and land use, zoning and entitlements. While attending UH William S. Richardson School of Law, he was editor in chief of University of Hawaii Law Review and was a member of the law school’s 2006 award-winning Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.
