Miranda joins Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort from his most recent post as general manager of two other Outrigger-managed properties, Airport Honolulu Hotel and Best Western The Plaza Hotel.

He now is responsible for directing strategy for Mobi’s market planning, brand strategy, pricing, advertising, public relations, community relations and sales support. Most recently, Sakurai headed his own management consulting practice – Research Information Services – focusing on marketing research, applied quantitative research and policy consulting.

He also will oversee the company’s financials, working closely with its insurance partners and agents, and increasing its agent work force. Young’s experience in the insurance industry spans 37 years and his previous positions include marketing manager, personal and commercial lines at Fairmont Specialty, a part of Crum & Forster Insurance Companies.

In her new role, Kohler will oversee fleet assignment, flight scheduling and routing in accordance with FAA and union standards. Kohler has been part of the Island Air family since 2004. Prior to that, she worked for Island Air under the airline’s previous owners Aloha Airgroup as well as its sister company, Aloha Airlines.
