Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 11/26/14
Christine Kanemaru has been hired as director of nursing for The Plaza Assisted Living at Pearl City. She will provide supervision and guidance for the community’s nursing department and will assess and oversee care programs for each resident at The Plaza at Pearl City. She has more than 23 years of nursing experience.
Joshua Hernandez Morse has been named head of school at Pacific Buddhist Academy. He has served in a number of roles at PBA, including assistant head of school, academic dean, athletic director, registrar and, most recently, was founder and director of the school’s Peace Bridge Project.
Randy Ha has been hired as general manager of The Plaza Club. He will oversee day-to-day operations, leading and implementing strategic efforts on membership and special events at downtown’s most popular private club and special events facility. He also plans to develop innovative ways to grow The Plaza Club’s membership, while also implementing a community-outreach program to encourage public use of the special events and catering services.
Anna Loengard, M.D. has been named chief medical officer of The Queen’s Medical Center’s Clinically Integrated Physician Network. The network is comprised of 300 primary care physicians and 750 specialists practicing across the state of Hawaii. She will work closely with Queen’s physicians and their physician organizations to increase the quality of care, decrease the cost of care and improve the health of the network’s patient population.
Joe Upadhyaya has been appointed benefits manager with simplicityHR by ALTRES. He will oversee the benefits administration for the company’s clients and their employees. He has more than 25 years of strategy, marketing and management experience locally and nationally.
David Te’o has been hired as director of information technology infrastructure with BYU-Hawaii. A native of Laie, he most recently worked with R&K Cyber Solutions’ Defense Intelligence Agency. An alumnus of BYU-Hawaii, he brings more than 10 years of experience, skills, training and credentials in information systems management.
Lori McCarney has been hired as CEO of nonprofit organization BikeShare Hawaii. She has more than 35 years of experience in senior management, and has held executive positions in local, national and international markets, specializing in marketing with a strong background in business strategy development.
Jason Ignacio has been named marketing representative with Xerox Hawaii. He will be responsible for providing new and existing clients with solutions and services to effectively manage their document workflow, allowing customers to focus on their core business. His territory includes areas in Leeward Oahu.
