Business Leaders on the Move in Hawaii – 11/19/14
Phyllis Horner, Ph.D., has been promoted to the newly created position of vice president-executive development with Servco Pacific Inc. She will focus on executive succession planning for all of Servco’s current and future locations, including collaboration with local Servco resource professionals. She has been with Servco for nearly a decade, most recently as its talent development manager.
Janel Higuchi has been hired as business office manager for The Plaza Assisted Living at Pearl City. She will be responsible for overseeing The Plaza at Pearl City’s front desk operations, human resource management and all accounting operations for the community.
Paul “Kalama” Kim (R) has been appointed principal broker at Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties. He will ensure all Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties licensees are current and active, and that they are provided information and training on the latest amendments to real estate laws and rules. He also will continue to lead the firm’s Kapolei office as branch manager.
Paul Dyson has been promoted to chief operating officer of USS Missouri Memorial Association, which serves as caretaker of Battleship Missouri Memorial. He is chiefly responsible for directing several departments tied to the enjoyment of the visitor experience at Battleship Missouri Memorial, including tours, communication, events, retail, education, sales and marketing, and ticketing and reservations. He joined Battleship Missouri Memorial in 2006 and previously served as vice president of sales and marketing.
Daniel Verduzco has been hired as assistant sales manager with Hawaiian Host Inc. He will pioneer business in new territory and train brokers about the company’s brand attributes and products, and also work with retail account distributors and wholesalers to develop annual strategies focused on exceeding sales objectives.
