Business Fair To Help Make Things Happen
Leeward Community College wants to help you “Launch Your Dreams Into Reality” with the 2014 Hawaii Small Business Fair, running from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at its Theatre Courtyard.
Workshops are scheduled in four time slots – 8:30-9:30 a.m., 9:45-10:45 a.m., 11 a.m.-noon; and 12:15-1:15 p.m.
The fair is designed to help small-business people and entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses. It covers everything from marketing to accounting. There will also be a number of other topics discussed too. This aims to help new business owners make their brand a success as soon as possible. One of the main things that business owners need is a high-quality business website to make sure they can get their name out there. In addition, they should also look into social media platforms too. Both of those methods are extremely important in this new digital age.
Topics include The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Starting a Business, How To Sell Yourself and Your
Product, and Simple Magic of Professional Networking.
The state Department of Transportation, USDA Rural Development, Hawaii Health Connector and Business Law Corps will staff exhibits during the fair.
The event is free, but Feb. 17 is the deadline to pre-register for workshops. Walk-ins will be accepted on a space-available basis.
