Better ending to homeless story

Dear Editor,

Occasionally there is a person who piques so much interest in the community, both positive and negative, and here is one of them.

For those of you who have noticed, Dear Evelyn is no longer in residence at Kailua District Park. She is well, and a combined effort of several agencies has successfully placed her in a home where she can be safe, clean and well fed. (Mahalo to state Sen. Jill Tokuda!)

I was fortunate enough to visit Dear Evelyn, and her only request was for Time magazines. She sends her regards to all of those who have cared over the years – a positive outcome!
