Behlke Has ‘Inner’ Work At HPU Show
Hawaii Pacific University gallery will feature the art of David Behlke in its new exhibition, “Inner Workings.”
Opening Sunday on the Windward campus with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m., the show features Kailua artist Behlke’s watercolors and landscapes reflective of one person’s journey through life via inventive psychological suppositions.
“The work will be divided between eight pointed stars and invented landscapes of my imagination,” explained Behlke, who also is curator and director for the Koa Gallery and Lama Library exhibitions programs at Kapiolani Community College.
The gallery is open from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Behlke’s work will be on view through Jan. 11. For more information, call 544-0228.
