Become A TV Producer At ‘Olelo’s Area Studios
Area residents may take an eight-week TV production class right in their own backyard, starting April 4 at the Kahuku Community Media Center at Kahuku High School. If you’ve ever wanted to learn about production services, now’s your chance!
The course will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays in Room Z-3, plus additional editing and shooting time.
The goal is to prepare those who want to produce original, non-commercial television programs for cablecast on ‘Olelo Community Television channels. No media experience is required. Topics include Producer, Camera and Final Cut Pro editing. Fee is $150, but it’s free to current Kahuku High students. For more information, call Don Sand at 428-1572. A similar course begins April 24 at the Wahiawa Community Media Center
at Leilehua High School. For details on that one, call Angela Breene at 621-9727 or 392-6942. Breene is manager of the Wahiawa and North Shore media centers.
Also, the Windward Community Media Center, located at King Intermediate School, plans to offer the TV production course beginning May 1. Call Donna Yuen at 236-1463 for more information.
