Aweau Will Sing Amid Castle Lights
Castle Medical Center will sponsor its 32nd annual tree-lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. Dec. 4, with a warm-up concert at 6:15 by the Marine Forces Pacific Band.
The Kailua tradition continues as the hospital simultaneously celebrates its 50th year.
Families are invited to come enjoy the bright lights on the 60-foot tree and throughout the hospital grounds. There also will be popcorn, cookies and drinks to consume, plus The Bistro will sell light meals in a food tent.
Also planned are trolley rides from 5 p.m. through Kailua town, visits and photos with Santa, Mrs. Claus and Nana Bear, keiki activities and a special holiday concert at 7:30 featuring multiple Hoku-award winner Nathan Aweau.
Radio and TV personality Dawn O’Brien will emcee the program.
Guests are advised to park at Kailua High School and hop on shuttle buses to the tree-lighting. For more information, call 263-5500.
