Auditions For ‘Fiddler’ At HPU

Hawaii Pacific University’s Paul and Vi Loo Theatre will bring Fiddler on the Roof to its stage Nov. 7-30, and auditions are set for Sept. 5, 6 and 8 for all roles at the Kaneohe campus venue.

Hopeful cast members will read from the script and sing one prepared song (bring printed sheet music). Tryouts start at 7 p.m. Sept. 5, 1 p.m. Sept. 6 and 7 p.m. Sept. 8.

Rehearsals will take place from 6:30 or 7 until 9:30 or 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more on vocal requirements, call Richard at 931-0406.

The beloved musical takes place against the backdrop of Czarist Russia, centering on a poor dairyman and his family who live in a tight-knit Jewish community.
