Astronaut Lands At Barbers Point
Astronaut Michael Fincke visited Challenger Center Hawaii at Barbers Point Elementary Jan. 31 to share his experiences with Momilani Elementary School students.
Fincke has been on three space flights and has served as a space station science officer, flight engineer and commander. During his last flight, he worked as a mission specialist for the final flight of the Space Shuttle Endeavor.
Challenger Center Hawaii is a learning center that provides students with hands-on experience in math, science and technology. The center offers a space flight simulation and is modeled after a real-life mission control center.
