Art Auction To Benefit Friends Of Waialua Library

The Friends of Waialua Library is honoring late North Shore artist Bessie Yoneko Ibrao Fooks with a display and sale of her art.

The pieces were donated to the library group by Fooks’ husband, Gilbert.

A silent auction will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Feb. 8) at the library and will feature work by Fooks and other artists. The event includes an ikebana demonstration by Fooks’ daughter Laurel, who is donating flower arrangements to the auction. Call 637-8286.
