Arlene Souki Wins A $250 Shopping Spree At Kmart
Arlene Souki has a friend visiting from Washington and wanted to pick up some souvenirs, so on Monday they took a trip to Kmart in Kapolei.
As they made their purchase at 11 a.m., MidWeek‘s representative approached Arlene with a simple question. She answered correctly and instantly won a $250 Kmart shopping spree. Coincidentally, just a minute before, her friend had given her a $1 bill with the No. 7 on it for good luck.
“I like shopping at Kmart because of the attention from employees, the service and the goods,” said this week’s Mystery Shopper, a retired party planner.
Arlene was born and raised in Kaimuki, and graduated from Saint Francis School in 1956. She and husband Patrick, who recently passed away, have two daughters and five grandchildren. In her free time, Arlene enjoys swimming, doing crossword puzzles, and creating and collecting artwork. She also likes to read MidWeek.
“I like the stories, the events listing, the advertising and grocery ads,” she said. “It keeps you updated.”
