Aiea Orchid Club Plans Annual Show In June
Aiea Orchid Club will have its 32nd annual Orchid Show next month, offering hands-on lectures, orchid culture demonstrations, displays and plant sales.
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 7 and 8, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 9 at Aiea Elementary School.
Lectures topics include: General Orchid Culture, 11 a.m. June 7 and 8; Honohono Orchid Culture, 2 p.m. June 7; Cattleya Orchid Culture, 2 p.m. June 8; and Honohono Orchid Culture, 11 a.m. June 9.
The Aiea Orchid Club is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1953 by a group of area orchid lovers. Members meet at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at Aiea Elementary School cafeteria to hear informative lectures, plan events, and attend auctions, banquets, field trips and more.
Aiea Elementary School is located at 99-370 Moanalua Road.
