A Gathering Of Cougars For Kaiser Gala Nov. 18

Kaiser High School alumni and supporters have until this Saturday to reserve seats at the annual KHS Foundation banquet, set for 5 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Hawaii Prince Hotel.

The foundation’s distinguished awards dinner will honor alumni Peter Kim, Judge Leslie Kobayashi and Rich Miano, along with educator Nanette Umeda and community member Jane Onaga.

The honorees were nominated and selected for their outstanding professional accomplishments (alumni), contribution to the school’s educational mission (educator) and overall support for Kaiser (community). Miano also is the Cougars new football coach this year.

Kaiser graduate and TV newswoman Kathy Muneno will emcee the event, and Mana’o Company and Sean Na’auao will entertain. Tickets cost $100 per person or $1,000 per table of 10, and proceeds go to the foundation’s scholarship fund.
