Donation Helps Cancer Patients
Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children celebrated Giving Tuesday with a number of notable donations. One such gift came from the family of Ally Tamayose, who was diagnosed with and eventually died from osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. In honor of Ally’s memory, her family donated more than $30,000 for Kapi‘olani’s forthcoming Martha B. Smith Cancer & Infusion Center, which will provide state-of-the-art cancer care for women and children. Photo courtesy Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children

Filling Up For The Hawai‘i Foodbank
Enterprise Mobility has raised thousands of dollars for local food banks — including $8,000 for Hawai‘i Foodbank — through its Fill Your Tank Initiative. The vehicle-centric company also helped Hawai‘i Foodbank sort through three pallets of food donations back in November. Pictured are Enterprise Mobility general manager Jeff Haughey (left holding check) and Hawai‘i Foodbank director of institutional giving David Washburn (center holding check), along with volunteers from Enterprise, Alamo and National.
‘Wicked’-ly Good
JustServe Club students from Farrington, Kaiser and Roosevelt high schools and Punahou School planned and hosted a sold-out movie night for Wicked’s premiere at Consolidated Theatres Ward with TITAN LUXE. Dozens of at-risk youth from Pearl Haven, RYSE and Pālama Settlement got to watch the film, and the club members also garnered canned food donations for those in need.
