Spreading Aloha, Granting Wishes
Aloha Petroleum recently donated more than $5,500 to Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i. The funds were raised in March and April through Aloha Petroleum’s ongoing canister collection program at statewide participating Aloha Island Mart stores. Kāhala Nui recently donated $255,675 to Aloha United Way through its Social Accountability Program. The contribution was dispersed among Kāhala Nui’s six community partner organizations: Alzheimer’s Association – Hawai‘i, Catholic Charities Hawai‘i, Hawai‘i Meals on Wheels, Kōkua Kalihi Valley, Pālama Settlement, and Project Dana. Alumni Bestow Scholarships To Seniors
The Kailua High School class of 1964 recently donated funds to provide seven $2,000 scholarships to Kailua High School 2023 graduates who demonstrated excellence in academics and citizenship. This year, funds for a special scholarship in memory of Haywood Kalima (class of 1964) was presented by his son, Kalani, to Ashlyn Tai (far right).
