$15K To Help Homeless And Their Keiki

The 1 ‘Ohana Foundation recently made a $15,600 donation to Project Hawai‘i Inc., an organization dedicated to helping and enhancing the lives of Hawai‘i’s homeless and poverty-stricken keiki. The donation will provide homeless teens with residential support to attend college so they can gain employment to ful~ ll their dreams. Blood Bank Spreads A Little Love With ‘Hugs’

This past summer, Blood Bank of Hawai‘i partnered with Help, Understanding & Group Support and donated “hugs” (essential items) to the organization for each blood donation that was made. Items such as hospital amenity kits were given to support programs like respites nights. HUGS’ mission since 1982 has been to improve the quality of life for families as they face the emotional and financial hardships of caring for a seriously ill child. Agency Reels In Fish For Food Bank

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, United Fishing Agency donated approximately 4,000 pounds — or $10,161.90 worth — of local fish to Hawai‘i Foodbank. The donation will go toward the nonprofit’s ongoing mission of collecting and redistributing food to vulnerable members of the local community. During the height of the pandemic, United Fishing Agency formed a strong working relationship with Hawai‘i Foodbank through the Fish to Dish program, which supported the state’s longline fishing industry and provided over 350,000 servings of locally sourced fish fillets to Hawai‘i Foodbank.
