‘Star-Advertiser’ Gives To Lanakila Pacific
Lanakila Pacific’s Meals On Wheels program has been serving seniors on O‘ahu for the past 80 years. In 2018, they delivered more than 360,000 meals. Recently, the nonprofit was part of the first annual Young At Heart Expo, sponsored by Star Events, a division of O‘ahu Publications Inc. In support of its programs and services, Honolulu Star-Advertiser presented a $10,000 check to Lanakila Pacific. Longs Drugs Donates To March of Dimes
Longs Drugs Stores, CVS Health presented a check for $275,265 to March of Dimes after raising money for the Hawai‘i nonprofit through in-store campaigns and events that took place from May to September, including sales of Aloha Gourmet local snacks, World’s Finest chocolate-covered almonds and raisins, and Old Trapper beef jerky sticks. Longs employees also raised additional funds by participating in the March of Dimes March for Babies walk at Kapi‘olani Park.
