EIH BRAH Awards Scholarships
Three outstanding Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawai‘i youth were awarded 2017 EIH BRAH (Educated in Hawai‘i, Born and Raised as Hawaiian) scholarships to support their college education at University of Hawai‘i. Funding was made possible through generous donations by Neill and Elizabeth Char, Brad Char, Frank and Shan Wert, Kevin and Lori Sakamoto, Jason Ideta and Gerald Kim. Joy of Food & Wine Celebrates 20 Years
REHAB Foundation celebrated the 20th anniversary of Joy of Food & Wine, supporting Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific’s mission to rebuild lives. To date, the event has raised more than $2.2 million to support the rehabilitative needs of individuals with cognitive and physical disabilities. Dr. Laurie Tom, Joy of Food & Wine event chair, was recognized for her 20 years of leadership by the foundation and hospital board of directors.
