Cop On Top Raises Funds
During the three-day Cop on Top event, city, state and federal law enforcement offi cers, and military personnel sat atop 14-foot scaffoldings to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Hawai‘i. Cop on Top took place Aug. 17-19 at all Walmart and Sam’s Club locations, as well as Enchanted Lake Shopping Center, Hawai‘i Kai Shopping Center, Kane‘ohe Shopping Center, Lauani Village Shopping Center, Manoa Marketplace and Salt Lake Shopping Center. MAC Recognizes Hawai‘i Students
This year, 30 outstanding Hawai‘i students and prior enlisted military members have been accepted into four of the U.S. service academies. Of the 30 who have accepted appointments, 24 students and their parents were recognized at a reception hosted by the Military Affairs Council (MAC) of the Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i at O‘ahu Country Club.
