UH Foundation Receives Support
Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation (HCRC) donated $789,474 to the University of Hawaii Foundation — funds will be used to establish the HCRC Distinguished Professorship in Affordable Housing, and a professorship in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and the University of Hawaii Economic Research Organization (UHERO) in the College of Social Sciences at UH-Manoa. Kupu Honored With Award In D.C.
Kupu, a nonprofit on a mission to “empower youth to serve their communities through character-building, service learning, and environmental stewardship opportunities,” received The Corps Network’s 2017 Project of the Year Award earlier this year in Washington, D.C. Kupu was honored for its role in establishing youth-focused programming at the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress in Honolulu.
