Bay View Hosts Recycling Truck

Kaneohe residents have another easy way to recycle their HI-5 containers with the opening of the Reynolds Recycling Certified Redemption Center in the parking lot of Bay View Golf Course on Kaneohe Bay Drive.

Principal buyer at the site is Sid Jamison, and the truck will be open for business from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday (with a lunch break from noon to 1:30 p.m.). In addition to HI-5 items, Reynolds will buy non-deposit glass bottles and jars. And like all but the Enchanted Lake site, it will accept scrap aluminum, brass, copper and stainless steel.

“We are excited to be able to open another redemption opportunity to our customers in Kaneohe,” said marketing director Bruce Iverson.

“We are hopeful that this location at the Bay View Golf Course will make recycling even more convenient for residents, and help them to recycle in their neighborhood.”
