* SURF MEETS Permit applications are due by May 14 to the city Department of Parks and Recreation in Kapolei for all surfing events planned for North Shore beaches between Oct. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2013. * COYBL BASEBALL The Central Oahu Youth Baseball League registers players from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 16 and 23 in Mililani ‘Ike Elementary cafeteria. * PINEAPPLE RUN Motorists are advised that the Central Oahu Chief Petty Officers Association’s annual 10K Wahiawa Pineapple Run is May 19, starting with about 1,500 runners and walkers at 7 a.m. on California Avenue at Kaala Elementary, moving through town and back to the school. * BOOK SALE The Friends of Mililani Public Library have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 19 at the library, featuring a wide variety of books, CDs and DVDs. To offer help, call 626-7292 or leave name and phone number at the front desk.

* CHIX, RUMMAGE The Venom Soccer and Lanakila U14 girls AYSO national soccer team sell rummage items and kiawe-broiled chicken from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 19 in Mililani High School’s upper parking lot. Also on sale are baked goods, sushi, toys and small electronics. Proceeds go into the Mainland travel fund. Call 398-6444.

* ART WALK The monthly Haleiwa Art Walk runs from 5 to 9 p.m. May 26 in Haleiwa town, featuring sales, activities and events hosted by dozens of merchants. Call 637-4558.

* FOOTBALL CAMP The third annual All-Poly Football Camp is June 20-23 at Kaiser High School, where more than 20 collegiate coaches will train and observe the talent of local youths.
