Business Leaders On The Move In Hawaii
Alan Young has been promoted by Servco Automotive to senior vice president-auto retail. Young will oversee all nine Servco retail dealerships for the Toyota, Lexus, Scion, Subaru, Suzuki and Chevrolet brands. Since 2004, Young served as group vice president and general manager for Servco Lexus, where he was responsible for day-to-day operations of Servco Lexus Honolulu and over-saw operations for Servco Lexus Maui.
Kristen Oshiro has been hired by Royal State Insurance as customer service representative. Oshiro will provide in-house support to life and health insurance providers by supporting targeted campaigns and customer education events. Oshiro has experience in the field of social media, supporting marketing and event promotions.
Vickie Omura has been named director of sales and marketing at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa. In her new position, Omura will oversee the sales and marketing efforts for North America, Asia/Pacific and Europe, including wholesale, FIT, group, incentive, leisure and business travel.
Julia Ancheta joins Hawaiian Eye Center’s Wahiawa office as an ophthalmic medical assistant. She previously worked as an administrative assistant for a local temp agency.
Kristina Donathan, a Chaminade University senior majoring in criminal justice, presented her research in April at the “Posters on the Hill” event sponsored by the Council of Undergraduate Research (CUR). This year CUR received 850 applications for its 74 awarded slots. Donathan’s research, funded by the Leadership Alliance and Chaminade, was done at Yale during the summer of 2011.
